Ken Ballogdajan and his sister Aki opened their first restaurant, KENAKI Sushi Counter, in Gaithersburg in 2018. Their sushi and omakase counter at The Roost features a couple of familiar signature makimonos, alongside new creations exclusive to AKO.  The Roost menu also features rotating selections of nigiri, sashimi, and chef's selection chirashi bowls.
